Note:

Although it represents the Japanese kanji symbol of Buddha in Japanese, it actually means a huge statue of Buddha, and called "Dai butu"

Normally, we write bussha as Hotoke, shaka, or buddha in Japanese, and use totally different Japanese kanji symbols.

Dai means "Big", and butu means "Buddha".
This is one of the daibutu in Kamakura.
