Dear Takanori
- thank you for the explanation about
reading the characters. I had the tattoo work
done
Friday night and they are beautiful. The tattoo
artist was happy that I did research and had
you give
me correct interpretations, especially since
the
"
patience" in on my hand for all to see.
He only had
samples of some Chinese caligraphy in one style.
I
was glad to have the choice of several styles.
Thanks
you for your service.

Dear Takanori-san,
Thank you very much for the katakana translation
of B.C. Street. My novel by the same name
should be available on amazon.com and barnesandnoble.com
by the first of September. I hope you will
take a look at my novel. I believe you will
find it to be interesting. Woven into the
story is the plight of the Okinawan people
during the early 1960s living under the occupation
and governance of a foreign power--the United
States military. I have treated Asian people
with respect and dignity and given examples
of how America does not always practice the
principles that it preaches. The story is
very relevant with today's world affairs.
I hope eventually to have a Japanese version
of the book. Again, thank you for your assistance
with translating my book's title into katakana
alphabet.
Arigato,
Ed Cooper

Good Evening
Takanori,
My apologies for taking so long to respond.
I have been very busy lately.
It has gone very well for me with the symbols
you sent.
Again thank you for all
your assistance in the translation. I have
already had the tattoo of Serenity put on
my arm.
Also the outlines
you sent helped a great deal so that the
Japanese symbols could be transferred to
my arm. The tattoo artist did not charge
me at all to do the transfer. Also your information
on how the tattoo's should be seen was important. It is very pleasing to know that you pay
as much attention to your clients
in this day.
So thank you again for all your help. I
hope that should I need to have any
further words translated that you will be
as professional.

Hey Takanori,
I just wanted to say that your service is awesome.
With the level of after sale service I received
from you I would never believe you are half
a world away.
I have been talking about
you not only for the great translations you
do
but most especially for the level of customer
service I have received.
thank you , Jon |
I found you searching
japanese symbols which led me to your link.
Your
service was very helpful.
I didn't want to
take a chance on using the wrong
symbols on my tattoo.
So I wanted to
make sure I got what I wanted.
You'll
be hearing from me again. I plan on finishing
my tatoo with a couple of more symbols in
the coming months. Thanks again,
Billie |
Dear Takanori,
Yes, I received the symbols, and downloaded
them tonight. They are
exquisite! Thank you very much...I hoped
it would be an easier request for
you. They are just the size I was looking
for to inscribe on my motorcycle!
I am delighted with your work.
Thank you again and best wishes always!

Yes, we received them
and they are beautiful! We got matching "phoenix" tattoos
yesterday and will send pictures for your website...
we're getting married this week and wanted
to commemorate the occasion in a very special
way... The significance also is that my [Vietnamese
birth name] means "phoenix".
I ordered "destiny" and "goddess" because
in my younger years, I got two kanji characters
tattooed on myself, using the flash in the
store as a reference. I was so naive to think
that they were entirely contextually correct.
I was informed by a friend, who's wife is Japanese
that there was a missing gender-specific modifying
character (onna) preceeding the one I thought
was "Goddess" so I actually had [the
masculine] "God" tattooed on my body.
Also, the one that I believed to read "destiny" was
also absent the correct contextual modifier,
and I had only the second, not the first character.
FORTUNATELY in this case... I can go back to
the original artist (Clark North, formerly
of Outer Limits in Orange, CA, now of Hart & Huntington
and the reality series, Inked) and have him
complete the first two pieces that he did...
I am so glad to find out that the mistakes
in my kanji are very fixable, and need only
to be completed with the first characters,
and that I don't have something completely
wrong/bizarre/out of context!
Thank you for your prompt response and very,
very relevant, helpful service! We will definitely
be return customers and share our positive
experience with others!
