|
What

Japanese scripts we use to write a word.
- Kanji
- Hiragana
- Katakana
Can you see the Japanese
characters I am holding?
That's KANJI character with the traditional
Japanese Calligraphy font.

Japanese
Kanji Symbols v.s. Chinese Kanji Symbols
Historically, Japanese people
adapted Chinese symbols into our language, and
created original symbols, pronunciation and
meaning.
Of course, there are still some kanji characters
which is basically the same meaning, however,
please be aware that Chinese kanji symbols and
Japanese kanji symbols are DIFFERENT.
Today, many different Japanese
Calligraphy fonts are used in tattoo design,
logo creation and printed materials. There are
modern, Pop, traditional, and so on.
Some of the NEW styles are created by applying
European and Western styles and became the popular
styles as the time went by.
For
example, Japanese Symbol and Chinese symbol
For example, if we write
"Ability" in Japanese, the Japanese
kanji character is going to be the same,

However, if we write "Alive"
in Japanese, the Chinese symbols are different
to how we write.

Therefore, it really depends
on what character it is.
But, as I said, we can also write with other
2 scripts, called Katakana and Hiragana too.
What
are the Japanese Calligraphy like?
Here are 3 different Kanji
styles for the same word, "Happy New Yea"
to represent a different mood from formal to
modern style.
Aren't they look so much different by just applying
different style?

Dear
Takanori,
I thank you, so much,
for the translations you sent me. All
of the styles were beautiful. In the end,
I picked one and my tattooist shaded it
in a 3-D fashion. I couldn't be more pleased
with the result!
In answer to your
survey, I found you through a google search.
I found it very easy to order my translation
on your website and found all the information
really useful. I read your report before
ordering and I trusted that you would
give accurate Kanji translations. I chose
Japanese symbols because I have been interested
in the culture for some time, since studying
the Samurai at university and the kanji
symbols are very pleasing to the eye.
I have attached a photo of the fiinished
tattoo.
many thanks,
